I had an amazing experience at the Park City Culinary Institute! Chef Drew and Chef Amber were incredible to work with. Their kitchen experience from restaurants and bakeries were so fun to hear about and learning from. The small tricks and tips that they knew were very helpful. I looked forward to every class and have missed it since graduating. I use the recipes and techniques at home multiple times a week and feel so confident in what I am making. I would recommend this to anyone looking to improve their skills.

I attended PCCI earlier this year. In my opinion, the Culinary Course is grossly overpriced. THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH BURNERS FOR EACH STUDENT TO HAVE THEIR OWN SPACE. Previously we could use induction burners, but halfway through my class they said we were no longer allowed to use them and had to share the gas range. Other students would adjust my burners, move my pots and pans, or remove my food altogether. The fight for space alone is not worth the money. 85% of the recipes in the course book contained errors (not just typos, but ingredients being omitted or quantities being listed incorrectly.) On several occasions there were not enough ingredients for all students. The quality of the ingredients was poor (limp celery, old onions, rotten scallions.) The instructors did not seem confident or properly qualified. I attended the PM class and my instructors did not teach us how to plate any of our food. They did not double check the oven temperature, resulting in food burning or being undercooked.

I waited a year to be able to attend Park City Culinary Institute. When circumstances changed, I jumped at the chance to do online cuisine followed by online pastry and baking. I can't say enough good things about this school. By having an online experience, it was absolutely the best environment for me. I was in my own space, not stressed about being to class on time, I knew where everything was. In addition, I had the opportunity to make everything myself, so there was a lot of hands-on experience. The Chef teachers are watching the entire time and provide immediate feedback. One thing that was so amazing was they were able to take into consideration me being a vegetarian. I had some leeway to make a few vegetarian dishes, including the soy "salmon patties" pictured in my post. I have learned so much about food, it has truly been a phenomenal experience.

I just completed my cuisine certificate w Chef Robert and Chef Zack. I had the best time and looked forward to coming to class every week. Not only did I learn new techniques and vastly improved my cooking skills, but I laughed A LOT while doing it. I highly recommend Park City Culinary Institute for anyone wanting to expand their culinary abilities. Chef Robert and Chef Zack, a dynamic duo, are very skilled chefs and teachers who made my experience the tops.

I attended the million dollar gingerbread house class. It was THE WORST class I have ever experienced. I don’t think any of the four ‘chefs’ working had ever made a gingerbread house. There was basically instructions. The royal icing provided was not mixed to the right consistency to be useful for decorating and they gave us buttercream frosting for instruction! I could go on and on, what a complete waste of my time and money.
